Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Jacob Aaron Abramson of West
Bloomfield will become a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, Dec. 9,
at Congregation Beth
Shalom. Jacob's proud
parents are Jay and
Joanna Abramson,
who will be joined at
the celebration by
Jacob's siblings Josh,
Jonathan and Julia.
His grandparents are
Janet Abramson of West Bloomfield and
Walter and Margaret Stark of
Huntington Woods. He is also the
grandson of the late Julius Abramson.
Jacob is an honor student at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit,
where he plays saxophone in the school
band. Jacob is an avid gymnast and will
compete on the Sportsclub's boys team.
Jacob has volunteered with the
Friendship Circle and Yad Ezra.

Eric David Berlin will be called to the
Torah as bar mitzvah on Friday, Dec. 8,
at Temple Israel. He is the son of Marci
and Marc Berlin and
brother of Zachary
and Rachel. Proud
are grandparents
Mary Berlin and
Phyllis Cheiman as
well as great-grand-
mother Gertrude
Levine. He is also the
grandson of the late
Norman Berlin and the late Fred
Cheiman.
An honor student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills, Eric likes
all sports, especially travel soccer. He
also enjoys baseball, basketball, wind-
surfing and attending Camp Tamakwa.
Eric enjoys spending time with his fami-
ly and friends. His mitzvah projects
included volunteering at Yad Ezra and
assisting in youth sports programs at
Temple Israel's summer day camp.

the Torah as a bar
mitzvah at Temple
Shir Shalom on
Friday, Dec. 8. Rabbis
Dannel Schwartz and
Michael Moskowitz
will lead the services.
