Accredited by the Solomon Schechter
Day School Association, the Hebrew
Day School of Ann Arbor is marking its
25th anniversary. In celebration, a
Chanukah Music Festival is planned for
7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Temple

include children from Judaism's
Conservative, Orthodox, Reform and
Reconstructionist movements as well as
from non-affiliated families.
Among the school's features is a
Hebrew-immersion program. Starting in
first grade, all students learn Hebrew and

May chose to continue in the Hebrew-

The Chanukah Music Festival will fea-

the returning fifth-graders. In addition,
the school choir will perform, under the
direction of San Slomovits. He is better
known as part of Gemini, a musical duo
with his twin brother I A7 Slomovits.
