The American Friends of Bar-Ilan University
deeply mourn the passing of

DAVID HERMELIN, of blessed inory

David was a giant in all of his and Doreen's countless endeavors, and our
community, nation and people have been blessed and enriched by his
multiple outstanding qualities. None of his strengths, however, equaled
David's incredible unfailing menschlekeit, whether dealing with world
leaders or with the most routine of contacts.

While this colossus will be incredibly missed, may his greatness and
humanity be an eternal blessing to his Doreen and to their
wonderful family. Shalom, Haver

the passing of our dear friend, longtime supporter, and former member of
the Michigan Region Board of Directors, Ambassador David B. Hermelin.
A constant source of inspiration and encouragement, David Hermelin
believed passionately in strengthening Israel through science and technology
research. He was a tireless philanthropic leader, whose efforts touched the
lives of countless individuals. Amb. Hermelin was devoted to the mission
of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute, furthering science
for the benefit of humanity. We express our deepest sympathy to Doreen,
their children and the entire Hermelin family.
