Israel Trip
For Solidarity
David Blewett, executive director of the
Ecumenical Institute for Jewish-
Christian Studies in Southfield, will be
one of the leaders of a Christian soli-
darity trip to Israel Dec. 2-7.
The trip will demonstrate to Israel
and the world that there are large num-
bers of Christians that continue to
stand with Israel during this time of
trouble, Blewett said.
The trip also will provide an oppor-
tunity to learn firsthand about the
Mideast situation by observing and
talking with political, military and reli-
gious leaders as well as people in
Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, the
Galilee and the Golan.
The Christian solidarity trip is being
organized by the Tulsa-based Bridges
for Peace and the Novi-based National
Christian Leadership Conference for
Israel. Blewett is president and national
director of NCLCI.
Blewett will be available to speak to
religious and civic organizations upon
his return; call the Ecumenical
Institute, (248) 557-4522, for informa-
tion.

health needs of the Jewish and general
