'Birmingham Groves High School's
soccer team and scoring record-holder
Jordan Gruber made
it into the Michigan
High School Division
II championship
game Saturday, but
came up on the short
end of a 4-0 game
with Portage
Northern High
School.
Groves finished the Jordan Gruber
season with the
Division II runnerup
trophy and a record of 21-2-2. Gruber,
a senior, established a new state record
with 69 goals for the season.
Earlier last week in a semi-final
game, Groves beat Farmington High
School 1-0 in overtime on a Gruber
goal.

InLine Hockey

Mites (8 and under), Nov. 9
Season record: Peterodactyls 6-1, T-Rex
6-1, Raptors 1-6, Mammoths 1-6.
Highlights: Zach Rogow scored 9
goals in the T-Rex victory over the
Raptors. Alex Greer had 8 in the •
Peterodactyls' win over the Mammoths.
Andrew Milgrom had 2 goals and an
assist as T-Rex beat the Mammoths 3-2.
Ben Eilender and Noam Buckman each
had 2 goals and 2 assists in the
Peterodactyls' win over the Raptors.

Squirts (10 and under), Nov. 9
Season record: Swarm 7-0, Beetles 4-
3, Mantis 2-5, Fireants 1-6.
Highlights: Jordan Kleiman and
Justin Rolintsky each had 4 goals and
an assist in the Beetles' 11-10 win
over the Mantis. Joey Calabrese had 4
goals and an assist in the Swarm's win
over the Fireants.
