Brandon Cambridge Tobin will cele-
brate his bar mitzvah on Friday, Nov. 3,
at Temple Israel. He
is the son of Ronda
and Jeffrey Rapoport
and Mark and
Patricia Tobin and
brother of Ryan and
Austin. Grandparents
are Treva McBride
and Ruth and
Harold Tobin; great-
grandmothers are Helen Cambridge
and Ardis Robinson.
A student at Abbott Middle School
in West Bloomfield, Brandon enjoys
snowboarding, wakeboarding and
music. His most meaningful mitzvah
project was volunteering at the Jewish
Association for Residential Care.

Birmingham, where
he participates in band, basketball and
track. He also enjoys tennis, golf and
baseball. Matthew has involved himself
in numerous community-service pro-
jects. He especially enjoyed his work
the past two summers with Camp
Berman at Shaarey Zedek.

Samantha Lauren Superstine became a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 28, at
Congregation Beth
Ahm. She is the
daughter of Susan
and Dr. Jerome
Superstine and the
sister of Danielle and
Elizabeth. Proud
grandparents are
Dorothy and Dr.
Milton Superstine
and Darlene and Bill Longo.
Samantha is an honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills, where she
is on the tennis and basketball teams.
Her other interests include acting,
singing and attending Camp Tamarack.
For her mitzvah project, she volun-
teered at the Jewish Association for
Residential Care and was a counselor
for two summers at the Beth Ahm
summer camp.

School, Robbie likes skiing, snowboard-
ing, golf and music. His most meaning-
ful mitzvah project was assisting with
the shelter parties underwritten by the
Shirley and George Agree Caring Fund.

Allison Hope Wertheimer will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 4, at
Temple Beth El. She
is the daughter of
Jeannette and Michael
Wertheimer of
Farmington Hills, sis-
ter of Randy and
Jordon, sister-in-law
of Melanee and aunt
of Devin. Allison's
proud grandparents are Rena Goldberg
and Phyllis and James Marks. She is
also the granddaughter of the late Oscar
Goldberg and the late Otto
Wertheimer.
Allison attends O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills,
where she is involved with peer media-
tion. As part of her mitzvah project, she
volunteered at Yad Ezra and helped
with swim classes at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park.

Jason Allen Wertheimer will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 4, at
Congregation Beth
Shalom. He is the son
of Diane Wertheimer-
Gale, Bruce Gale and
Avner Wertheimer
and brother of Jenny,
Jamie and Aaron.

Jason is also the grandchild of the late
Samuel Shreeman and the late Peter
Wertheimer.
An honor student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills, Jason enjoys soccer,
basketball, in-line skating, Web devel-
opment and playing the clarinet. Jason
has been a weekly volunteer in the
Friendship Circle for children with spe-
cial needs. His community school pro-
jects included Yad Ezra and Dor L'Dor
at Fleischman Residence.
