Forman Tribute

The Israel Cancer Association of
Michigan will hold its 21st annual
dinner 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16,
at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The evening will be a tribute to can-
cer specialist Dr. Jeffrey D. Forman of
Wayne State University and the Barbara
Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr.
Barbara Kappy and Agi Rubin are the

Hillel Day School alum Sheryl
Freedland will open her store, Ruby's
Balm on The Boardwalk, in West
Bloomfield, from 3-5 Sunday, Nov. 5,
for a shopping spree to benefit Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit.
Freedland will donate 10 percent of all
proceeds on that date to Hillel in
Farmington Hills. Freedland's husband,
Dr. Seth Korelitz, teaches at Hillel and
their child is a student there.
Ruby's Balm specializes in the sale
of sk-incare and bath and beauty
