on Sept. 10 discovered they
had actually entered the
Youth Zone: The Club for
Jewish Kids. It's a program
that combines fun with
mitzvot.

Chabad-Lubavitch
synagogue's 10-month

The Shul will be
sponsoring a monthly
event or project, each

"Making the
Difference" compo-
nent. A February day

Brittany Lynn Turner is a

winner.
A religious school student at
Temple Beth El, she is also on the
honor roll, student council and the
forensics team at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills.
On Sept. 17, Brittany proved
she also has gifts of talent and
grace as well, by winning two
trophies at the 2000 Miss Pre-
Teen Detroit pageant in Warren,
Selected first runner-up in
the competition, Brittany now
is eligible to participate in the
pageant's national competition.
She also won the title of Miss
Congeniality at the local event.
At age 12, Brittany also
acts, models, dances ballet and
competes in jazz and tap.
Her win entitles her to go
to Orlando to participate at
the 2000 Miss Pre-Teen
national competition in
December. Her mother Sue
Turner will accompany her.
Brittany's family also includes
father Lee (Buzz) Turner, three
sisters and a brother. ❑
