Scary Way
To Help Michalsons

Clarification
And Correction

The operator of the "Beyond Terror"
haunted house will donate a portion
of the money raised this weekend to a
Jewish Family Service fund set up to
assist brothers Ben and Jeremy
Michalson, orphaned teen brothers
living in our community.
West Bloomfield resident Vicky
Fingeroot, owner of Events and
Entertainment Inc. of Farmington
Hills, says she had been wanting to do
something for the Michalsons since
reading about them last June in the
Jewish News ("A Time To Care, June
23, page 12). The brothers have no
close relatives and were left without
support after their father died sudden-
ly in June, 2 1/2 years after their
mother.
The spooky house is at the southeast
corner of 10 Mile and Haggerty roads
in Farmington Hills. Hours, though
Oct. 31, are 7-11 p.m. Sunday-
Thursday and until midnight on
Friday and Saturday. Friends of the
brothers will be helping to staff the
house this weekend, Fingeroot says.
While the house is suggested for
ages 12 and older, families with
younger children will be accommodat-
ed before 9 p.m. Admission is $10.
For information, call Gordon Eick,
(248) 888-3835, ext. 10.

In a story about candidates for the West
Bloomfield Township Board of Trustess
on Oct. 6, the story was incomplete.
Here is a photo of Arnold Sabaroff plus
some of his stands on the issues:
Some of the township planning com-
missioner's positions
include limited boat stor-
age on individual property,
keeping costs down while
maintaining services and
allowing greater opportuni-
ty for residents to address
the township board.
Sabaroff, a Democrat
Arnold
and 59-year township resi- Sabaroff
dent, says the board
should meet in closed ses-
sion when conducting interviews. He
believes the linking of I-96 and M-59,
and the continuation of M-5, are issues
"that have been under study or put off
for too long." In his opinion, the three
top issues are development, environ-
ment, and traffic and roads.
"My history as a community
activist, and having conducted a large
business with 175 employees as a
manufacturer, building contractor and
architect working in seven states, and
meeting with many planning and zon-
ing boards around the country, gives
me the experience to help run our
community," Sabaroff said.
