Mrs. Kovacs is survived by her

ters and son-in-law, Shelly and
Harvey Berman of Ann Arbor,
Karen Kovacs of Washington, D.C.
and fiance David Trevino; grand-
children, Lauren, Kimmy and
Jason Kovacs, Josh and Julia
Berman, Jake and Jayme Kovacs;
brother and sister-in-law, Ralph
and Harriet Brumer of West
Bloomfield. She was the beloved
wife of 49 years of the late James
"Jimmy" Kovacs.
Interment was at Oakview
Cemetery. Contributions may be

FRIEDA LEVY, 87, of Brooklyn,

N.Y., died Oct. 13.
She is survived by her daughter
Gillian Levy of Birmingham; son,
Paul Levy of Brooklyn; nieces and
nephews. She was the wife of the
late Daniel Levy.

IRVING LIPSKY, 86, of

Southfield, died Oct. 12.
He is survived by his wife, Rita
Lipsky; daughters and son-in-law,
Marlene Balan of Newark, Calif.,
Rhoda and James Lubaski of
Southfield; sisters and brother-in-
law, Goldie Kenner of Los Angeles,
Marian and Jack Solomon of Los
Angeles; grandchildren, Cyndy
Balan, Kevin Lubaski.

Southfield, MI 48076 or to a char-

Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery in

Oct. 10. He was an active member

of the South African Jewish com-
munity, having built several syna-
gogues and acted as gabbai of the
Great Synagogue in Johannesburg
for many years. He was a farmer,
businessman and contributor to
many institutions and individuals.
He was also the founder of the
Jewish Club Kyalami.
He is survived by his beloved
wife, Vera; children, Stanley
(Marilyn), R. Joseph (Bassie),
Gwen Lange, R. Lazar (Cahya); 23
grandchildren; one great-grandson;
brother and sister-in-law, Dr.
Morris and Dorothy Medalie of
West Bloomfield; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Rhoda and Dr. Alec
Berman of Perth, Australia.

HOPE NESTOR, 77, of Oak

Park, died Oct. 15.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, William and
Virginia Koch of Wapakoneta,
Ohio, Irwin Nestor of Oak Park,
Brad Nestor of Hazel Park, John
and Ruth Nestor of Hoffman
Estates, Ill.; daughter, Rebecca
Lenchner or Oak Park; brother and
sister-in-law, William and Laverne
Donovan of St. Mary's, Ohio; sis-
ter, Jean Ossenkop of Warrner
Robins, Ga.; grandchildren, Erin
Lenchner, Jennifer Nestor, Carlene
Nestor. Mrs. Nestor was the
beloved wife of the late Bernard
Nestor.

at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

THOMAS ROSENDER, 79, of

West Bloomfield, died Oct. 11.
He is survived by his sister,
Frances Cohen of Berkley; nieces
and nephews, Beverly (Mark)
Hutton, Dr. Philip (Vivian)
Cohen, Robert Cohen. He was the
beloved father of the late Andrea
Tess Rosender.
Graveside services were held at
the Beth El Memorial Park
