FRANK KENNETH BLAS, 71, of West Bloomfield, died Oct. 10. Mr. Blas was a building contractor and owner of Frank Blas Construction. He was a member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek, Tam O'Shanter Country Club, Perfection Mosaic Lodge. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Crescent Shrine Club, a past presi- dent of the Plumbers Association and was very active in helping establish Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit. Mr. Blas is survived by his wife, Beverly Blas; daughters and sons- in-law, Heidi and Moley Barzily of Israel, Susan Blas of Florida, Alicia and John MacDonald of Florida, Eliza Blas of Florida, Andrea and Steven Migdal of Bloomfield Hills, Tammy and Jeff Dubin of West Bloomfield; sons and daughter-in- law, Reid Kay of New York, Keith and Pamela Kay of Sylvan Lake; grandchildren, Matan and Sheni Barzily, Morgan and Sam MacDonald, Brad and Josh Migdal, Taylor and Max Dubin, Zachary and Jack Henry Kay; and sister, Rose Saginaw of Dallas. He was the dear brother-in-law of the late Sol Saginaw. Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery. HELEN (SILVER) DAVIS, 90, of Chicago, died Sept. 27. She was a charity worker and tournament bridge player in Detroit and Chicago. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcy and Al Gruber of Huntington Woods; grandchildren, Alicia (Gruber) and Carlos Galarce Lake Zurich, Ill;, Andrea Gruber of Chicago; great- grandchildren, Max and Alex Galarce. EARL EDWARD FIELDS, 69, of Walled Lake, died Oct. 11, Mr. Fields was a clerk at the Michigan National Bank and a member of Perfection Lodge, a 32 degree Mason and a Shriner. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Fields; nieces and nephews, Michelle and Donald Drury, Allan and Sharon Zatkin, Steven and Laura Zatkin, Lynn and Donald Apel. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel. MORTON GARELIK, 83, of Southfield, died Oct. 13. He was the founder and owner of Garelik Plumbing and Heating. After retiring, he became the plumbing inspector for the city of Sterling Heights for 17 years. He was also a member Morton Garelik of Keidan Lodge of B'nai B'rith, a member of the Plumbers Association, Masters Plumbers Society, Plumbing Inspectors Association and was Santa Claus every year for the city of Sterling Heights, entertaining crippled children. Mr. Garelik is survived by his wife, Sara Garelik; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Mel Raznick of West Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Laura Garelik of Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Brian Raznik, Dr. Lisa and Jason Hodes, Jason Raznik, Jaime Garelik and Jessica Garelik; sister, Phyllis Blau; broth- er-in-law, Saul Bloom.
