lation. Twelve families expressed

"One student we had, for exam-
ple, had a neurological problem that
made it difficult for him to concen-
trate," Hojda says. "The Abilities
Center suggested the teacher allow
the boy to sit on an inflated cushion
which lets him move around in place
a lot more [than a regular chair],
and then he can focus. His teacher
was so amazed she wants to order

the program was opened to all
dren, from preschool age to high
school.

JARC quickly decided, provided the
school would work with the organi-
zation by accepting supportive ser-

A difficult situation concerned the
boy who used a wheelchair and

tal and physical abilities and com-
municates only by blinking.
