Scott Charles Ishbia will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Friday, Oct. 13, at
Temple Israel. He is
the son of Renee
and Earl Ishbia;
brother of Howard,
Joel, Jason and
David; and brother-
in-law of Leslie,
Dana and Linda.
Excited grandmoth-
er is Regina Polinsky. Scott is also
the grandson of the late Shirley and
Charles Weingarden, Maurice
Polinsky and Jack Ishbia.
Scott is an honor student at
Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield, where he plays the
trumpet in the concert band. He
enjoys tennis, basketball, snow-
boarding, skateboarding and com-
puters.
His most meaningful mitzvah
projects were volunteering at Yad
Ezra, working in the Temple Israel
Library as well as organizing a walk-
athon to raise funds for the Make a
Wish Foundation.

Elan Philip Levin will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel on
Saturday, Oct. 14.
He is the son of
Adina and Doron
Levin and brother
of Guy and Libby.
Excited grandpar-
ents are Ruth Levin
and Miriam Nagler.
He is also the
grandson of the late Basil Levin and
the late Chaim Nagler.
Elan found it particularly mean-
ingful to volunteer at Yad Ezra as

Attending Berkshire Middle School
in Birmingham, Elan is interested in
baseball, water skiing, downhill ski-
ing, tennis and attending Camp
Tamarack.
