BEVERLY CANNER KRAUSE, 69,
former Detroiter of Anderson,
S.C., died Sept. 22. She was a mem-
ber of the Anderson Senior Follies,
a member of Outreach, a hospice
volunteer of the Upstate Volunteers
and a former member of the
Humane Society. She belonged to
Temple B'nai Israel in Anderson
and its sisterhood.
She is survived by her son, Steve
Krause of Anderson; daughters,
Leslie Hagan of Anderson, Barbara
Greenberg of Berkley; seven grand-
children.

RUDOLF LEISER, 86, of
Southfield, died Sept. 28.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie

DR. LAWRENCE M. MECKLER,
79, of Beachwood, Ohio, died Sept.
23. A dentist in private practice in
Parma, Ohio, for
the past 38 years,
Dr. Meckler was a
graduate of
Glenville High
School, Ohio State
University and
Ohio State Dental
School. He was a
World War II
Dr. Lawrence
army veteran, who
Meckler
served in England
with the 123rd
General Hospital, a traveling hospi-
tal unit; he received a Bronze
Medal.
Dr. Meckler was a former presi-
dent of the Alpha Omega Dental
Fraternity, a member of the
Cleveland Dental Society and of the
American Dental Society. He
belonged to B'nai B'rith, Jewish .
War Veterans and the Suburban
Temple of Beachwood.
Dr. Meckler is survived by his
wife of 49 years, Roseann Meckler;
daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce
Meckler Miller and Dr. Steven
Miller of West Bloomfield, Sharon
and Dr. Allan Roth of Ohio; son
and daughter-in-law, Dr. Stanley T.
and Paula Meckler of Ohio; grand-
children, David and Jonathan
Miller, Mike and Jonathan Meckler,
Bryan, Jordan, Austin and Jaclyn
Roth; sister and brother-in-law,
Arlene and George Leventhal of
Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Dr.
Eugene and Alice Meckler of Ohio.

PAULINE KALISH
MENDELSSOHN, 89, of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of
Detroit, died Sept. 21. She was a
longtime member of Maimonides
Medical Society, past president of
Eastern Star, supporter of Women's
American ORT, a docent of DIA for
over 35 years and a docent for
Broward County Library in Florida.
Mrs. Mendelssohn is survived by
her sons, Donald Mendelssohn of
Sterling Heights, Dr. Alan
Mendelssohn of Seattle; daughter
and son-in-law, Sharon and Mel
Ettenson of Bingham Farms; grand-
children, Robin Greenblatt, Jeffrey
and Andrea Mendelssohn, Dana
Forrester, Kara Ettenson; two great-
grandchildren; brother and sister-in-
law, Charles and Julie Kalish of Los
Angeles; sister-in-law, Fanny Kalish.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Dr. Reuben Mendelssohn; dear sis-
ter of the late Robert Kalish.
Interment at Machpelah
