HILLEL DAY 5:1102
PHOTOGRAPHY BY BOB BENYAS
abbis, parents and alumni hit the
links recently for the 5th annual
Hillel Day School Golf Classic. More
than 150 golfers attended the event at
Tam O'Shanter Country Club, which raised
over $30,000 for the educational and sports pro-
grams at the school.
The team of George Johnston, Gary Koloff, Eli
Maroko and Steve Margolin placed first with an
outstanding round of 10 below par.
"This was, by far, the most successful outing
we have had," said Steve Schlafer, chairman of
the Hillel Day School Golf Classic. "We had a
record number of golfers and sponsors. We
couldn't have ordered a better day." Chrysler
Jeep was the main sponsor of the event. Other
tournament sponsors included Efros/Sav-On
Drugs, Linwood Pipe and Supply, Michigan,
Surgical Associates, Pet Supplies Plus,
PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Professional Services,
