Foreign Policy Specialist
At Bonds Event

Dr. Ralph Nurnberger will be
the guest speaker at an Israel
Bonds parlor meeting 7:30
p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3.
The event at the home of
Flora and Herbert W. Kaufman
is in advance of the Adat
Shalom Synagogue Yom
Kippur appeal on behalf of
Bonds. Reception chairpersons
are Tobi Fox, Dr. Michael
Gellis, Alan Jay Kaufman,
Beverly Liss, Leo Maxbauer,
David Schostak, Gary Shiffman
and Ralph Woronoff.
Dr. Ralph Nurnberger for
eight years served as a lobbyist
for the American Israel Public
Affairs Committee, where he
specialized in foreign aid to
Israel and opposing arms sales
to Israel's enemies.
Currently, he is senior coun-
sel to Builders for Peace, an
organization of Jewish and
Arab Americans whose goal is
to promote the peace process
through investment in the West
Bank and Gaza while building
bridges of understanding in the
United States as well as in the
Middle East.
Builders for Peace was estab-
lished with the encouragement
of U.S. Vice President Al Gore
and has received support from
Israel's Labor and Likud blocs,

the Palestinian leadership and
the United States government.
In addition, Dr. Nurnberger
is a professor of diplomatic his-
tory and international relations
at Georgetown University;
where he has taught since
1975, and he is also senior
partner in a government rela-
tions firm, Nurnberger &
Associates.
