Youth Director

Susan Sinai has joined the staff of
Congregation B'nai Moshe as Jewish
family educator and youth director.
The Jewish family education position
is part of the Jewish Family Education
Project of
Metropolitan
Detroit and is one
of the Alliance for
Jewish Education
Initiatives in Jewish
Education.
Sinai holds an
undergraduate
degree in education
from Wayne State
Susan Sinai
University, where
she served on the
board of the university's Hillel, chaired
the campus United Jewish Appeal and
was a founding member of a Jewish
sorority.
She earned a master's degree in Jewish
education and administration from the
University of Judaism in Los Angeles
and became the educational director of a
Conservative religious school in Las
Vegas for two years.
She recently was honored with an
excellence in Hebrew curriculum design
award from Temple Israel.

JHAS Benefactors
Plan Installation

The Benefactors of the Jewish Home
and Aging Services will hold its annual
sports night and installation 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the
Fleischman Residence/Blumberg
Plaza, 6710 West Maple Road, West
Bloomfield.
Dinner will be followed at 7 p.m.
by the installation and guest speaker,
Irwin Cohen, photojournalist and for-
mer staff member of the Detroit
Tigers. Also featured will be Julius
Spielberg, a 98-year-old Jewish Sports
Hall of Famer.
There will be a question-and-
answer period and prizes. Adults and
children are welcome.
Gary Shiffman and Joel Smith,
installation officers, will install
Michael Banks, president; John
Hamburger, first vice president; David
Gans, second vice president; Lawrence
A. Tower, treasurer; Gary Ran, secre-
tary.
