Ball has named Sharon McMurray
and Sheila Stone as the co-chairmen.
This black-tie event will be held
Friday, Dec. 1, at the Guardian
Building in Detroit. Proceeds from
the ball will support the Detroit
Historical Museum's exhibition and

in art. In golf, Nathan Whiteman
won gold, Andrew Spinner won silver
and Peter Szasz won bronze.
Relay swimmers Vicky Simanovski
won two silvers and a bronze,
Whitney Shanfield a silver and a
bronze, and Jaimie Slopen and and
Devon Jarcaig each won a bronze.
In track and field, Sarah Sklash
won silver in the hurdles, relay and
long jump, and a bronze in shot put.
Adam Armeland won gold in shot
put. Susy Szasz won bronze in a relay
and in shot put. Joey Vollans won
two gold medals and a bronze for
relays. In the long jump, Talia
Gordner won silver and Rochelle
Volynsky bronze. In relays, Vedran
Abidonovich won a gold and a silver
and Kyle Monczak won gold.
Also competing were Radmilla
Sionov in dance, Tara Berger in ten-
nis, Michael Levi in baseball and
bowler Aaron Botton.

hosting its fourth annual dinner and

Saks Fifth Avenue will again kick off
National Breast Cancer Awareness

Through Sunday, Sept. 24, Saks
nationwide will donate 2 percent of
all sales to the Council of Fashion
Designers of America program, called
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Fund.
Locally, the Saks store in Troy and the

will be giving its share to benefit the
