DR. GAIL "GOLDIE" HENDEL-
MAN, 86, of west Pal Beach, Fla., for-

merly of Birmingham, died Sept. 2. Dr.
Hendelman practiced as an optometrist
in the Detroit area for many years.
She is survived by her daughters and
son-in-law, Dr. Beverly Hendelman,
Phyllis Tolchin, Dr. Joann Hendelman
and William Pearl of Florida; grandchil-
dren, Elena Hendelman, Carly, Lisa and
Marc Tolchin, Joshua and Jennifer Pearl.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr.
Manuel Hendelman; loving mother of
the late Dr. Leslie Usher Hendelman.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial Park.

BARNEY KASOFF, 100, of West
Bloomfield, died Sept. 4. Prior to his
retirement 38 years ago, he was the
owner of Prestige Building. He was a life
member of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek, a past president of the Hannah
Schloss Old Timers and a member of
the Boy Scout group that in 1912
become the Hannah Schloss Old
Timers.
