Behind the scenes: Stylist Cad Waldman chose the models and the clothes for
our back to school fashion shoot.
H
ow time flies. We've already completed
our fifth edition of Style at the Jewish
News. It seems like only yesterday that
Editor Carla Schwartz and I were busy
visualizing this unique product. With the support of
President Arthur Horwitz and Publisher Al DeRusha,
we have put together an exciting publication that we
hope you enjoy reading as much as we enjoy working
on. From everything that we're hearing so far, I think
we're hitting the mark.
Our cover story was conceptualized and styled by
vivacious West Bloomfield resident Cari Waldman
and brought to life by staff photographer Krista Husa.
Both did an outstanding job getting some of the
cutest kids in Metro Detroit to pose and have loads of
fun in the process. Thanks to JN Marketing Manager
Illana Greenberg, whose hospitality at her
Franklin home helped make this photo
shoot a success.
Also in this issue, we profile local pho-
tographer Monte Nagler, whose world-
class photos adorn his office walls along
with those of other well-known photo tak-
ers. Photographing Nagler was special for
photographer Santa Fabio, who has
known him for years. In fact, the first
photograph she ever sold was to Nagler.
Two of the most breathtaking gardens
have been captured in all their splendor
by photographer John Sobczak. The colors are mag-
nificent.
These are just a few of the exciting articles that
we're featuring in this issue of Style at the Jewish
News. We welcome your response and feedback to
this publication so that we can continue our growth.
