Sinai Hospital and was an active
member of the Alpha Omega
Dental Fraternity, the American
Academy of Oral Medicine and the
American Dental Association. He
spent . two seasons as a volunteer for
the Dental Society in Israel, work-
ing on kibbutzim and in the city of
Jerusalem.
Dr. Swartz was a member and
active participant in the original
Congregation Beth Aaaron, later
with Congregation Beth Achim and
most recently with Adat Shalom
synagogue.
He is survived by his beloved
wife Clare Swartz of West
Bloomfield; sons and daughters-in-
law, Richard and June Swartz of
Ann Arbor, Irving and Nancy
Swartz of West Bloomfield; daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Shelly and
George Denes of Farmington Hills,
Ellen and Douglas Rosenthal of
Southfield; grandchildren, Vaughn
(Cyndi) Swartz, Sam Swartz, Hjarsti
Swartz, Erin Rosenthal, Zachary
Denes, Darin Rosenthal and Jin
Swartz.

Cemetery Program
For Remembrances

Clover Hill Park Cemetery and
Congregation Shaarey Zedek will
host "Time of Remembrance," a ser-
vice and program, 2 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 10, in the chapel at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery.
The clergy of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek will conduct a brief
memorial service. Immediately fol-
lowing, families and friends will pro-
ceed to the gravesites of their depart-
ed for a special prayer as well as the
placement of a stone on the grave.
Individual prayer booklets will be
available.
The service is especially mean-
ingful prior to the High Holy Days.

The Jewish News will be happy to

deceased in obituaries. There is
no charge.
Photos should be clear and as
recent as possible. If only a
dated photo is available, we ask
that you provide a date and that
information will accompany the
photograph in the paper. Only a
photo of the individual will be
published and we reserve the
right to reject any photograph.
We cannot use scanned or elec-
tronic submissions.
Please attach a label to the
back of the photograph that
includes the deceased's name as
well as a return name and
address. Do not write on the
photograph itself.
All photos must be received at
The Jewish News by noon
Tuesday to be considered for
that Friday's paper. To be
returned, all photographs must
be accompanied by a stamped,
self-addressed envelope.
