CONGRATS ... to Barry and Linda
Solomon ... on their 25th anniversary.
Celebration party given for them by
friends, Dr. Marshall and Dee Shapiro,
Mindy Levine and Dell Warner, was the
kind you like to see ... Where the cele-
brants are its main participants ... hav-
ing so much fun at their own party.
No gifts was the request, just letters
or cards which Barry and Linda
enjoyed receiving ... But there were
some gifts, very unusual ones in accor-
dance with their collections ... and the
25-year honorees read the letters,
notes and cards they received at the
party with tears of joy.
Linda told of her meeting Barry ...
and Barry held up her purse to show
what is always in it ... except for a
couple of things at the end ... pulling
out a cardigan blouse and a silver
antique Mexican pin he put in for
Linda ... She collects things of antique
Mexican ... Lisa Lapides, among those
who gave an emotional talk about
Linda and Barry, has known her since
the sixth grade at Vandenberg
Elementary ... and Lisa's hubby, David
Sawicki, accompanied himself on gui-
tar while singing a song he graciously
wrote for Barry and Linda.
