The Detroit Medical Center's Rehabilitation
Institue of Michigan is offering a series of
FREE community education classes for persons
caring for the elderly in their homes.

Classes are taught by health and rehabilita-
tion professionals using innovative technolo-
gy. Topics include: safety, nutrition, stress,
Alzheimer's disease, legal issues, community
resources, medications and a question and
answer session with a doctor.

This FREE 8-week course is offered Monday
evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m., beginning
September 25th at the )CC's in Oak Park and
West Bloomfield.

Jewish Survey
Set To Start

New York/JTA — The first large-scale
national study of American Jewry in 10
years is scheduled to begin Aug. 20 after
months of delays.
Some 5,000 Jews are expected to be
interviewed in the coming months in
the National Jewish Population Survey.
The poll, originally scheduled to begin
in January, was delayed so that leaders in
its sponsoring agency, the United Jewish
Communities, could offer input and so
that questions could be tested.

Iran 10 Ruling
Expected Sept. 5

New York/JTA — A ruling is expected
Sept. 5 in the appeal of 10 Iranian Jews
convicted of spying for Israel.
The decision would come a day
before Iran's reformist president,
Mohammad Khatami, is slated to arrive
in New York to take part in a millennial
summit at the United Nations.
