Tara Kaufman
Tara Kaufman of Montreal, Quebec,
has been appointed as a third full-
time assistant director of Michigan
Region BBYO.
Kaufman will serve as staff coordi-
nator of major regional programs,
which include fall conclave, regional
convention, inter-regional convention
and elections and training conclave
and will staff the senior getaway week-
end.
In addition, Kaufman will serve
as coordinator of the Detroit Teen
Connection program, for seventh-
and eighth-graders. She will also
coordinate planning for BBYO's
TASC (Teens Actively Serving
Communities) program, promoting
and planning community service
participation on both the chapter
and regional levels.
BIRO Goes To
Cedar Point
The Michigan Region B'nai Kith
Youth Organization will begin the
new program year with a bus trip to
Cedar Point amusement park in
Sandusky, Ohio, on Sunday, Aug. 27.
Three buses are taking 135 AZA
and BBG members, leaving the West
Bloomfield Jewish Community
Center at 7 a.m. and returning at 9
p.m.
Coordinators of the program are
Adam Kay of Shapiro AZA, Valerie
Warner of Ruach BBG and BBYO
