At the same time, Shira Weinstein has been named Jewish Campus Jay Raben Service Corps fellow to serve HMD and Eastern Michigan University Hillel. Raben is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in psychology. He spent the past two years in Israel as a participant in Project Otzma and studying at the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. Raben will be responsible for over- seeing HMD's programming, publici- ty and leadership development. Weinstein is a native of Philadelphia, volunteered for three months working with Israeli and Arab teens in the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's Partnership 2000 region and teaches Hebrew at Beth Israel Religious School in Ann Arbor. She was a co-president of EMU Hillel and graduated from EMU with a degree in elementary education.
