Registration

Registration for the next Birthright
Israel trips began Aug. 1 and will con-
tinue through Oct. 5 for depatures in
December and January.
Any Jewish youth age18-26 who
has never been to Israel on an educa-
tional peer group program is eligible
to sign up for a variety of approved
programs through 40 different trip
organizers. Interested participants
should register online at

the type of educational program they
would like to experience.
The Birthright Israel gift covers
roundtrip airfare plus 10 days of edu-
cational programming designed for
Jewish young adults to explore Israel.

Rosen Staffs

The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit has named
Rebecca Rosen of Farmington Hills as
staff associate for its Young Adult
Division. She also will assist in
Federation's Annual Campaign activi-
ties.
Rosen was director of youth pro-
gramming at a Conservative syna-
gogue in Boca Raton, Fla. She gradu-
ated in 1999 with majors in fine arts
and Jewish studies from Michigan
State University. She also attended Tel
Aviv University and the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago.
