PHOTOGRAPHY BY KRISTA HUSA Amy Folbe, Family law — "If I'm not seeing clients, I usually wear pants, a T-shirt and a sweater tied around my waist. The dress code calls for hose and closed-toe shoes. And, of course, I wear traditional suits (no pants) to court." If she wears a jacket, she never keeps it on in the office. The casual wardrobe is easier for a woman, she says, because "it's the same thing I'd wear on a Saturday night or to a charity function." Folbe buys casual tees at Rear Ends. "Michael Stars tees are the best." She shops for casual suits and pants at Scott Gregory and Complaisant. David Foltyn, right, Corporate law, and Grant Trigger, Environmental law — Foltyn was on the board that approved the casual summer dress code. "I had reservations, though," he says. "Most days I'm in a suit and tie. Professionals should dress like professionals." "We should be measured by what we say, not by how we dress," says Trigger. "I rarely wear a jacket. I keep a tie in my pocket. The dress code is suitable for summer. We should dress smartly and comfortably. I think I'm more relaxed when I'm dressed casually." Foltyn agrees most clients are switching over to casual dress, but he's cognizant of the need to be ready for a formal business meeting. Foltyn shops everywhere from Neiman Marcus to The Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch and Old Navy. "My sales associate at Neiman's knows me and pulls clothing for me, so I can just run in and pick it up." He favors Armani suits and custom shirts from Paul Cicchini. Trigger likes Lord & Taylor, Hudson's and T.J. Maxx. He prefers his Snoopy tie to designer logos. --Linda Bachrack Amy Brooks, Real estate law — "Casual summer is great. I wear pant suits anyway, but it's nice to wear a sweater set and slacks, or separates with a T-shirt." Brooks dresses down her suits with a tee and casual accessories. But she always wears something in which she would feel comfortable in an emergency meeting. "I like a mix of mall stores and boutiques when I shop," she says. She favors Neiman Marcus, Complaisant, Bebe, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson's, Banana Republic and The Gap. Her favorite shoes are from Gucci and Sundance.
