EXPERIENCE MATTERS

Machon Marks
Tisha bAv

Tisha b'Av, the ninth day of the
Hebrew month Av, should be a day
not only of mourning, but to ener-
gize the Jewish people. That's why
the Chofetz Chaim Heritage
Foundation of New York has insti-
tuted its Ninth of Av event, a video
presentation with speaker Rabbi
Paysach Krohn, that seeks to attack
causes of exile, prohibited speech
and senseless hatred.
The video, Who Will Put Out the
Fire? will involve Jewish communi-
ties worldwide. The English-lan-
guage video will be presented 6:45
p.m. Thursday, Aug.10, at Machon
L'Torah in Oak Park. Suggested
donation is $8 for adults; $6 for stu-
dents.
