VISION 2000
Michigan Region Women's American
ORT honored its most dedicated vol-
unteers at "Vision 2000," featuring
ABC news correspondent Morton
Dean as the keynote speaker. Dana
Burnstein and Cindy Franklin co-
chaired the event, which attracted
more than 360 patrons to Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
The ORT honorees were Arlene
Barris, Diana Berlinberg, Judy
Berman, Bette Bonin, Gertrude
Brainin, Laurie Chudnow, Sylvia
Hubert Goldberg, Harriet Jacobson,
Beverly Katz, Sharon Klein, Sheri
Lisagor, Marsha Margolis, Shelly
Mendelson, Bess Raimi, Bertha
Rubin, Helen Stebbins, Carole
Walker, Rita Weston and Eadie
Zeldes.
Patti Aaron, national chair of the
marketing and publiC relations com-
mittee, announced plans for a
Michigan ORT Resource Center
housed at the Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan Detroit's D.
Dan and Betty Kahn Building.
On Sept. 6, ORT will hold its
annual installation dinner and open-
ing meeting at the JCC in West
Bloomfield. In addition to the board
members, Dana Burnstein will be
installed as region president and
Elaine Beresh will become executive
committee chair.

HERITAGE FOR HADASSAH
The Heritage of Southfield, Greater
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah and
Sherwood Studios teamed up for a
benefit July 9 to raise funds for
Hadassah's Goldyne Savad Institute of
Gene Therapy in Jerusalem.
More than 300 patrons attended
the event featuring designer showcase
apartments for contemporary senior
living at the Heritage in Southfield.
Mark Morganroth and Susan
Edwards of Sherwood Studios
designed the apartments.
