Tri-Trippin'
A Great Success

It is with great pride that we share
with you the recent success of Tri-
Trippin' 2000. This 11-day Israel
experience for Jewish university stu-
dents and young adults from Michi-
gan was designated as a Hillel
Birthright trip this year.

Forty students from local schools
(Detroit-Mercy, Eastern, Michigan
State, Oakland, Oakland Community,
and Wayne State) participated in this
program designed to get them think-
ing about their Jewish identity and to
fuse education with recreation.
Thanks to the generosity of the
Irwin and Bethea Green College Life
Fund of the Jewish Federation, Tri-
Trippiri' 2000 also included six Israeli
participants from Detroit's Parnership
2000 Region. This shared experience
allowed both the Americans and
Israelis to gain additional insights
about Israel and Judaism, and to form
new friendships. The exchange will be
completed in September, when those
six Israelis come to Detroit to explore
