PERLE GASSEL, 92, of Pompano
Beach, Fla., died July 9.
She is survived by her sister, Estelle
Shifman of Southfield; niece and
nephews, Joy Landau, Dr. Frank
Crantz, Lawrence Crantz. She was the
beloved wife of the late Sidney Gassel;
sister of the late Geraldine Crantz.
Graveside services were held at the
Machpelah Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to a charity of one's

PAUL GOLDBERG, 55, of Detroit,
died July 12. He was a mathematician
and had a photographic memory.
Mr. Goldberg graduated Henry Ford
High School with honors and then
attended Wayne State University,
where he received his degree in
accounting. He worked many years for
Chrysler and loved cars and mechan-
i cs. He was an old-time movie buff
and collector of old movies and audio
tapes of musical scores.
He is survived by his mother,
Annette Goldberg of Detroit; sisters
and brother-in-law, Judy and Paul
Glassman of West Bloomfield, Cheryl
Austel of Newhall, Calif. He was the
beloved son of the late Irving
Goldberg.
Services and interment at the
Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

HAROLD HABER, 84, of Southfield,
died July 16. Mr. Haber worked at a
dry cleaning plant and was a member
of Temple Israel. He was also a World
War II signal corps veteran, a member
of the Morganthau Lodge of B'nai
B'rith and a member of the Perfection
Mosaic Lodge.
Mr. Haber is survived by his wife of
61 years, Dorothy Haber; sons and
daughters-in-law, Lawrence and
Barbara Haber of Commerce, Jerald
and Marcia Haber of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, David Haber,
Julie and Sam Gendler, Jennifer and
Adam Fishkind, Jeffrey Haber, Carolyn
Haber; great-grandchildren, Justin
Gendler, Jake Fishkind; brother and
sister-in-law, Herbert and Ide Haber of
Toronto.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
