Festival, presented by Rude Mechanical Productions TANGLED UP IN DYLAN ANIMATING CONVERSATION Eric and Susan Goldberg, two of Walt Disney's most prominent directing animators, visit Birmingham's Gallery Animato, 7-9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 14-15. Eric Goldberg directed two sequences for Fantasia 2000, "Carnival of the Animals" and "Rhapsody in Blue," and also created the Genie from Alladin, Phil for Hercules and co-directed the feature film Pocahontas. Susan Goldberg served as art director for her husband's Fantasia 2000 sequences and has collaborated with him on a number of other Disney projects. The Goldbergs, who will discuss their work, open an eight-week exhibit at the gallery titled "The Art of Fantasia 2000." Never-before-seen artwork from Fantasia 2000, Aladdin and Pocahontas will be on display and available for purchase and signing. The gallery is located at 574 N. Old Woodward.
