SARAH KESSLER, 87, of Oak Park,

died June 26.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Hugh and Linda
Kessler of Lincoln Park; grandchil-
dren, Karl and Michelle Kessler, Dawn
and George Rosen, Jennifer and Eddie
Holierton, Elizabeth Shanaver,
Melissa Shanaver; great-grandchildren,
Zachary, Donna, Alexander, Andrew,
Dyllan, Sklar. Mrs. Kessler was the
beloved wife of the late Jack Kessler.

HY KINZER, 89, of Troy, died July

1. In 1967 Mr. Kinzer retired as a
U.S. postal supervisor. He then
obtained a degree from Wayne State
University where he did graduate work
in economics. He subsequently pur-
sued a second career as an economic
adviser.
Mr. Kinzer is survived by his son
and daughter-in-law, Robert and
Penny Kinzer of Troy; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Abraham Kinzer of San
Carlos, Calif, Wallace and Sylvia
Kinzer of West Bloomfield, Ben and
Marion Kinzer of Ann Arbor; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Mary and Robert
Einzig of San Carlos, Calif., Lillian
Weinstein of San Carlos, Helen and
Leo Applebaum of Huntington
Woods, Bess Gonte of West
Bloomfield; brother-in-law and sister-
in-law, Lou and Sally Segal; grandson,
David Kinzer. Mr. Kinzer was the
beloved husband of the late Zelda
Kinzer.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Interment at
Hebrew Memorial Park. Arrangements
by Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

YETTA LIPTON ("Teddi"), 81, for-

mer Detroiter of Mission Viejo, Calif,
died July 3. Mrs. Lipton, who main-
tained strong ties with her Detroit
heritage, traveled extensively and was a
community activist in Casa Del Sol,
Calif, and a member of Temple Judea,
Mission Viejo, Calif.
She is survived by her children,
David Lipton of Oakland, Calif,
Mark (Grace) Lipton of Granite Bay,
Calif, Steven (Joan) Lipton of Flower
Mound, Texas, Sheri Lipton of
Auburn, Calif, Robin (Alan) Sapakie
of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren,
Jeffrey, Jason, Elizabeth, Benjamin,
Miles and Bethany Lipton, Sarah,

Joshua and David Phillips and Adam
Kramer; sister, Liliann Katz of
Southfield; Harold (Edie) Lax of
Farmington Hills. The family requests
contributions to the American Heart
Association or the charity of your
choice.

MARSHALL MARTIN, 66, of

Farmington Hills, died July 6. Mr.
Martin was a pharmacist, a graduate
of Wayne State University College of
Pharmacy and stock broker. He also
wrote humorous animal stories.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle
Martin; daughter, Marilee Martin;
mother-in-law, Pearl White; sister and
brother-in-law, Eleanore and Michael
Weinstock.
Contributions may be directed to
the Michigan Humane Society.

IDA MAZELL, 94, of Southfield,
died July 4.
Mrs. Mazell is survived by her
daughter, Margaret Weiner of
Huntington Woods; grandchildren,
Bennett and Elizabeth Mazell, Margo
- and Michael Stocker; great-grandchil-
dren, Brandon Mazell, Julie and Lauri
Stocker and daughter-in-law, Marilyn
Mazell. She was the beloved wife of
the late Samuel Mazell; dear mother
of the late Julius Mazell; dear mother-
in-law of the late Milton Weiner.
Interment at Beth Tefilo Emanuel
Cemetery.

SHIRLEY METLER, 92, of Nevada,
died July 9.
Mrs. Metier is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Larry and
Kathleen Metier of Nevada; grandchil-
dren, Kari and Brett Saul, Mark
Freeman, Brian and Linda Brodsky;
great-grandchildren, Alaina and Elise
Brodsky and Jack Saul; sister, Edith
Meyer of Florida. She was the beloved
wife of the late Jack Metier; loving
mother of the late Alice Smith; dear
sister of the late Rose Hack, the late
Nathan Miller, the late Louis Miller.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

ANNIE MINTZ, 95, of Southfield,

died June 30.
Mrs. Mintz is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and
Phyllis Mintz of Savannah, Ga.,
