Echoes Of Knowledge

More than 800 people attended the Michigan Jewish AIDS Coalition's five per-
formances of theplay "From the Beginning I Did Not Speak in Secret" during
June at Birmingham Groves High School. The play helped to tell the story of
MJAC's ECHO (Educating Our Community About Homosexuality Through
Outreach) program. Performers included, above, Jay Kaplan, Miriam Menczer,
David Bothamly and Michael Phillips. "So many people told us that it touched
them personally and gave them a great deal to think about," said Arlene Sorkin,
ECHO program director. MJAC is based in Southfield.
