At the recent state convention
for the Jewish War Veterans
and its ladies auxiliary,
Herman Sherline of Southfield
Was elected state commander
and. Martha Hauptman and
Eleanor Silk, both of
Southfield, were elected co-
presidents of the auxiliary.
Other officers of the men's
department are Milton Klein,
senior vice commander; Sandy
Pliskow, junior vice comman-
der; Harmon Tron, quarter-
master; Jack Kraizman, judge
advocate; Gerald Order, adju-
tant; Milton Klein, chief of
staff; Robert Feldman, national
executive committeeman; and
Tom Tannis, chaplain.
Harmon Tron was awarded
the Norman Berkley Trophy
and Jerry Schlussel got the
Jack Schwartz Trophy for most
outstanding veterans for the
past year.
Other auxiliary officers are
Helen Pliskow and Shirley
Schlussel, co-senior vice presi-
dents; Florence Weber and
Faye Glosser, co-junior vice
presidents; Corinne Cohn,
treasurer; Elaine Zeron, chap-
lain; Shirley Falling, recording
