Bloomfield, died June 27. He was a
retired furniture merchant.
Mr. Spitz is survived by his wife,
Beverly Spitz; sons and daughters-in-
law, Gordon and Marlene Gold of
West Bloomfield, Dr. Fredric and
Linda Gold of West Bloomfield,
Stuart and Ronna Gold of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Julie,
Lindsey, Melissa and Jessica Gold,
Tracey and Randall Shulman; brother-
in-law and sister-in-law, Marion Spitz
Altman and Adele Strager. He was the
dear brother of the late Wilbur Spitz
and the late Theodore Spitz.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be directed
to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund at
Temple Israel. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

Yiddish educator, folklorist and writer,
died July 2 at the age of 81.
A longtime director of the
Workmen's Circle Yiddish school sys-
tem, he published several collections of
Yiddish songs with his wife, Chana.
