Hadassah Hosts Apartment Parade'

The Heritage of Southfield, Hadassah's Greater
Detroit Chapter and Sherwood Studios are teaming
up on a designer retirement-apartment tour to bene-
fit the Goldyne Savad Institute of Gene Therapy in
Jerusalem.
"The Heritage on Parade for Hadassah," will be
5-9 p.m. Sunday, July 9 (preview party) and 11 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Monday, July 10 (community open
house), at the Heritage of Southfield, a Brookdale
retirement community at 25800 W. 11 Mile. The
event features designer showcase apartments for con-
temporary living designed by Sherwood Studios'
Mark Morganroth, A.S.I.D., and associate Susan
Edwards, professional interior designer.
Honorary program chair is Shirley Shultz, chapter
historian. Co-chairs are Marcia Bednarsh and Sherry
Lofman, both of West Bloomfield. Other Hadassah
committee members include Barbara Meretsky, Bea
Luft, Agnes Klein, all of Bloomfield Hills; Beverly
Apel and Zita Kirsch of West Bloomfield; and
Shirley Robbins and Charlene Dawes of Farmington
Hills. Bloomfield Township's Elaine Sturman is
chapter president.
For 50 years, Hadassah has worked in partnership
with Hebrew University. Through that partnership,
Hadassah has become a center for patient treatment,
teaching and research in the Middle East. Today,
800 physicians and researchers in the medical center

are engaged in research.
