Audrey (Niskar) and Dr. Brian
Seifman of Ann Arbor are thrilled to
announce the birth of their beautiful
daughter, Abby Leah. Abby was wel-
comed home by her excited big broth-
er Dov, 20 months. Sharing in their
happiness are proud grandparents
Arlene and Dr. Robert Niskar and
Marcia and Barry Seifman, all of
Farmington Hills. Also sharing n their
joy are great-grandparents William
Niskar of Oak Park, Hilda Barman of
Southfield and Virginia Sisler of Las
Vegas. Abby is also the great-grand-
daughter of the late Dorothy Niskar,
Jerry Kirschbaum and Ben Seifman.
Abby is named in loving memory of
her maternal great-great-aunt Evelyn
Teper.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Joshua Abraham Breshgold will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, June 24, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue. Josh is the lov-
ing son of Wendy Winkler and
Michael Breshgold,
brother to Elana
and Ari. Proud
grandparents are
Beatrice and Joseph
Breshgold and
Adeana and Leo
Carey. Extended
family also includes
Roz (Mendelson)
Breshgold, Rachel and Joshua
Mendelson and Edith Sheffman.
Josh is honored to be a student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit, in Farmington Hills, where
he was captain of the soccer team and
a member of the intramural basket-
ball team. As part of the 13 mitzvot
project and gemilut chasidim (acts of
loving kindness), Josh participated
with residents of the Berlin Home,
now known as the Grand, of Jewish
Association for Residential Care.
Josh's hobbies include sports, listen-
ing to music, camping and traveling
to exotic places around the world.

Jennifer Rachel Burstein will
become a bat mitzvah on Friday,
June 23, at Temple Israel. She is the
daughter of Karen and Mark
Burstein and sister
to Jeremy. Excited
grandparents are
Betty and Dr. Carl
Burstein and
Eleanor Minkoff.
She is also the
grandchild of the
late Edward
Minkoff.
An honor stu-
dent at Farmington Hills Warner
Middle School, where she plays per-
cussion in the band, Jennifer enjoys
acting, singing, playing the guitar,
art, kickboxing and horseback rid-
ing. She found it particularly mean-
ingful to make Purim baskets for
Yad Ezra as part of her mitzvah pro-
jects.
