She was a 1924 Vassar Phi Beta Kappa grad- uate, a case worker for the American Red Cross during World War II, a past president of Temple Hesed in Scranton, Pa., a past president of the Pennsylvania Federation of Sisterhoods, on the board of the Jewish Welfare Federation Community Medical Center and a past president and board member of the Visiting Nurses Association. GOOEL, 95, of Detroit, died May 20. Mr. Gooel founded the Standard Detroit Paint Company and was the owner for over 65 years.
