Norman and Sonny Cohn of
Farmington Hills and Bertram and Rita
Schreiber of Southfield are delighted to
announce the engagement of their chil-
dren Lynne Meredith and Avy David.
Lynne earned a bachelor's degree in
communication from the University of
Michigan and a master of fine arts
degree in writing from Goddard
College. She is a freelance journalist,

adjunct college professor and founder of
Words Worth Inc., summer writing
camps for children.
Avy earned a joint bachelor's degree
in engineering from Yeshiva University
and Columbia University. He is a pro-
fessional musician and singer and a
founding member of the Jewish a capel-
la group Beat'achon.
An August wedding is planned.

Kerin-Orbuch

Dr. Nicholas and Jeny Kerin of West
Bloomfield are thrilled to announce the
engagement of their daughter Dr. Iris
Kerin to Dr. Laurence Orbuch, son of
Rachel and the late Pinchas Orbuch of
Brooklyn, N.Y.
Iris attended the University of
Michigan, where she graduated with
distinction in Judaic studies. She earned
her medical degree from Health Science
Center at Syracuse, N.Y. Iris is complet-
ing the first year of her residency in

obstetrics and gynecology at Lenox Hill
Hospital in New York City
Larry graduated from Yeshiva
University with a major in biology and
a minor in psychology. He earned his
medical degree at Sackler School of
Medicine. Larry is an attending physi-
cian in obstetrics and gynecology at
Mount Sinai Hospital in New York
City.
A June wedding is planned at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
