Jack Schwartz; mother of the late
Donald Schwartz; sister of the late

Goldie Davis. -
Services and interment at Clover
Hill Park Cemetery. Contributions
can be made to a charity of one's
choice. Arrangements by Dorfman
Funeral Direction.

DEBORAH SIMS, 82, of Long Boat

Key, Fla., died June 7. She received
her bachelor of arts and a master's
degree in the history of music from
Mills College in Oakland, Calif. She
moved to Detroit from Denver in
1941 and to Longboat Key in 1987.
Mrs. Sims was the first music director
of Temple Emanu-El in
Oak Park. She and her husband were
supporters of the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, the Chamber Music
Society, the Music Study Club, the
Meadowbrook Music Festival and, in
ecent years, the Sarasota Music
estival of the Florida West Coast
ymphony.
Mrs. Sims was an active supporter
f both Mills College and Brandeis
niversity. She was a member of the

omen's Committee and served as
resident of the Detroit chapter in the
any 1960s and thereafter as Midwest
egional president. She was named a
resident's councilor by the universi-
's board of trustees in recognition of
er services to the university.
She is survived by her daughter
