Evelyn Levine was installed as presi-
dent for a second year. Board members

May 9 as the new president of Eleanor
Roosevelt Group, Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah.
The following officers will serve in
the new programming year: Brenda

Raya Goldenberg, Judy Goodman,
Sonja Kass, Eva Lande, Pat Oseff, Susan
Robin, Rita Sukenic and Janel Tarnow,
vice presidents; outgoing president
Gayle Eder, treasurer; Bertha Rochlen,
secretary; and Anita Naigles, Esther
Allweiss Tschirhart, Evelyn Freeman
and Gail Katz, board members.
Additionally, Woman of the Year
honors went to Lande, the Love of a
Lifetime Award to Alms, and Rochlen
received an award of appreciation.

JHAS Hosts
Annual Meeting

Jewish Home and Aging Services will
have its annual meeting and the dedica-
tion of the new Phillip Stollman Family
Administrative Wing 6 p.m. Tuesday,
June 20, at the Fleischman Residence in
West Bloomfield.
Rabbi Aaron Bergman of
Congregation Beth Ahm will be the
speaker. A barbecue and dessert buffet
will be served.
A tribute to outgoing president Dr.
Dan G. Guyer will be made. Rabbi Avi
Shapiro, Jewish Home and Aging
Services director of religious activities,
will be the installing officer for the exec-
utive board: Mitchell A. Kantor, presi-
dent; Cindy W. Schwartz, vice presi-
dent; Pearlena Bodzin, secretary; Daniel
Greenberg, treasurer, and the board of
directors.

Workmen's Circle
Marks Graduation

The Workmen's Cirde/Arbeter Ring
Sunday school in Oak Park recently held
graduation and made year-end awards
presentations.
Three students with near-perfect
attendance at shule received certificates:
Stephanie Hollander, Lizzie Heaveririch
and Hannah Heavenrich.
Two members of the Workmen's
Circle teen group, Samantha Ashley and
Sara Gold, spoke about their Jewish
connections in the group.
The eight graduates are Micheal
Coden, Lizzie Heavenrich, Nina
Chacker, Aaron Egan, Jacob Hurwitz-
Goodman, Spencer Barefield, David
Granzotto and Stephanie Hollander.
Each received a diploma and an "I Love
Yiddish" pin, written in Yiddish.
