She also enjoys attending Camp Walden. As mitz- vah projects, Lindsey volunteered at a nursing home and at Yad Ezra. Jessica Rachel Hull was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, June 3, at Temple Beth El. Jessica is the daughter of Karen and David Hull and the younger sister of Sarah and Aaron. Proud grandparents are Bernice and Nate Schecter of West Bloomfield and Donald Hull of Albion. Great- grandmother is Rose Burg of Southfield. Jessica is also the granddaughter of the late Ruth E. Hull. Jessica is a seventh-grade student at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield, where she enjoys playing bass in the school orchestra. She is a Hebrew student at Temple Beth El, where she is an-aide for a kindergarten class as one of her mitzvah projects. Jessica packaged food at Gleaners Food Bank and served meals at COTS. Jay Aaron Kohler (Yosef Aharon) will celebrate his bar mitzvah on Saturday, June 10, at Temple Beth El, where he is a third- generation member. He is the son of Steven and Barbara Kohler and the brother of Ian. Proud grandparents are Aaron and Dolly Friedman and Edith Fried. He is also the grandson of the late George Fried. Jay attends Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills, where he is a seventh-grade honor student. He also attends the Temple Beth El religious school, where he began in pre-kindergarten. Besides his high academic achieve- . ment, Jay played on the seventh- grade junior varsity school basket- ball team and was a member of the school tennis team. He has played baseball in the Franklin Baseball League since he was 5 and is now playing in his eighth season. Jay's other interests include com- puters, his large coin collection, col- lecting baseball autographs and traveling. Some of his mitzvah pro- jects include working as a Hebrew teacher's aide in the religious school and volunteering time with Yad Ezra and the Jewish Association for Residential Care. He plans to con- tinue these activities following his bar mitzvah. Jay looks forward to his second bar mitzvah service on Masada dur- ing his trip to Israel this summer. Melissa Lynne Morof will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple Shir Shalom on Friday, June 9. She is the daughter of Diane and Howard Morof and the sister of Jonathan. Melissa is thrilled to celebrate her bat mitzvah with her proud grandparents Shirley and Jerry Klegman, Esther and Irving Morof and with delighted great-grand- mother Martha Reiter. Melissa is an honor student at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills, where she plays flute in the band. Her hobbies include computers, traveling, golf, swimming, tennis and painting. Melissa's most meaningful mitz- vah projects included helping with Jewish Experiences For Families, helping out at Temple Shir Shalom religious school, raising money for children with leukemia and for a celiac disease research walk. Mariel Geneane Rosati will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, June 10, at Temple Israel. She is the daughter of Susan and David Emerling, Michael Rosati and Marcia Howe, and sister of Jillian, Ben and Rachelle.
