kindergarten when the other five start-
ed regular school.
For the JCC-8, dinners out have
been the unifying activity through the
years. We try to get together every six
to eight weeks. With everyone's busy
schedule, a turnout of even three
moms makes the night "a go."
"One of the things I find nice,"
Medow said, "is when we do get
together, partly depending on where
you sit and who comes, you catch up
with different people at different
times."
"We've been very supportive of
each other," Schey added. "That's
been the foundation of the group. It's
been a tremendous support system.
When we needed someone, we were

there."
Now it's time for high school grad-
uation: June 4 for Alayna from
Southfield-Lathrup; June 7 for
Michael, Sam, Alison and both Jons
from Berkley, and Rachel from
Andover on Sunday, June 11. All of
the boys are expecting to go to
Michigan State University, while
Rachel is accepted to University of
Wooster (Ohio), Alayna to the
University of Michigan and Alison to
Grand Valley State University.
Looking ahead, Zerwekh has
visions of JCC-8 conversations four
years•from now when the "tots" gradu-
ate from college.
Rodgers predicted, "I absolutely
think we will continue. Down the
road, I suspect we'll be together for a
lot of weddings."
"And in another five or 10 years,"
said Bialick, "we'll be talking about toilet
training again. But this time we will be
talking about our grandchildren." LI
