Boys Win
Europe Tourney
Two 10-year-old West Bloomfield
hockey players helped their Team
USA go unbeaten in seven games and
win in a European tournament.
Jake Friedman, a forward, son of
Pam and Mike Friedman, and Jordan
Yellen, a goalie, son of Iris and
Sheldon Yellen, play in a Squirt
Double A league locally and attend
summer hockey camp. Jake attends
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit and Jordan attends Pine Lake
Elementary. Teams on three age levels
represented the U.S. at the competi-
tion in France and Italy.
Accompanied by their fathers, the
boys — the only Jewish players on
the 15-member team — were in
Europe for eight days.
