When an incident in her past is revealed to a reporter, the after-effects of media scrutiny threaten her per- sonal and professional lives. According to Wasserstein, this is a story about the good girls who worked hard. It's about what hap- pens when you come up against something where working hard and being a good girl isn't enough. Lahti starred on stage as Heidi Hollard in Wasserstein's Pulitzer Prize- winning play, The Heidi Chronicles. She has also received awards for her work on Chicago Hope. Also appearing are Tom Skerrit as Hughes' hus- band and Lynne Thigpen, who reprises her Tony Award-winning role as Hughes' best friend, Dr. Judith Kaufman, an African-American Jewish oncologist.
