Tracy Renee Van Dinter and David
Benjamin Garfinkel were recently mar-
ried on the cruise ship Celebration in the
port of Grand Cayman Island. Sixty
friends and family joined the couple on
the cruise to celebrate the marriage. -
Tracy is the daughter of Dotty and
Keith Steel of Kent, Wash., and Gary
and Sue Van Dinter of Snoqualmie Pass,
Wash. David is the son of Barbara and
Fred Garfinkel of West Bloomfield.
The maid of honor was Deanna
Ward and bridesmaids were Amy Van
Dinter and Tessa Van Dinter, sisters of
the bride. The best man was Isaiah (Ike)
Lipsey and groomsman was Scott

MacGregor, friends of the groom. Alisa
Bailog, sister of the groom, read poems
written by the bride and groom. Isabel
Van Dinter, niece of the bride, was the
flower girl. Tracy and David were hon-
ored to have the bride's grandparents
Nellie Littlefield and Alec and Dee
Bakamus walk down the aisle.
Following the week's cruise, a
Michigan reception for friends and fam-
ily was held at the Ritz-Carlton; over
the Memorial Day holiday, a
Washington reception was given by the
bride's parents.
The happy couple now reside in San
Jose, Calif.

Hilary Elizabeth Dzodin and Ari
Kaganas were recently married at the
Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center in
Aventura, Fla. Rabbi Barry Konovitch
officiated. Reciting Sheva brachot were
Daniel Dzodin, Dr. Noel Lawson and
Gary Kaganas.
The bride is the daughter of Isabel
and Milton Dzodin of Southfield and
Colchester, Ont. The groom is the son
of Mireya and Benjamin Kaganas of
Montevideo, Uruguay, and Miami
Beach, Fla.
The maid of honor was Cheryl
Chudnow of Royal Oak, best friend of
the bride. Bridesmaids were Renee
Simlak of Farmington Hills, Mara
Marcus of New York and Elena DiBella
of Quertaro, Mexico, all longtime
friends of the bride. Malisa Chervin of
Cordoba, Argentina, future sister-in-law
of the bride and groom, was also a
bridesmaid. Junior bridesmaids were

groom.
The best man was Guillermo Kavana
of Miami Beach, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Brian Dzodin and
Daniel Dzodin, both of Southfield and
brothers of the bride, and Jordan
Kavana and Gary Kaganas, both of
Aventura and cousins of the groom.
Jacob Trunsky of Birmingham, cousin
of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Courtney Kaufman of Larchmont,
N.Y., escorted by big brother Aaron,
was the flower girl. They are cousins of
the bride.
Hilary and Ari were honored to have
the bride's grandparents Leonard and
Roslyn Trunsky of West Bloomfield par-
ticipate in the ceremony.
Following their honeymoon cruise to
Italy and Greece, the couple will reside
in Aventura.
