hat happens when you
have a craving for
something really good,
something a little dif-
ferent, but you're on a diet, and you
don't have a lot of time to spend din-
ing?
You head to Sandella's Cafe in
Northville.
Marcy and Jeff Schulman's cafE is
a Tuscan-style eatery in a strip mall
that offers handmade-to-order, fresh
wrap sandwiches .and flat pizzas.
They are fast, flavorful and, best of
all, low-fat.
"It is a healthy, refreshing change
from typical fast food; it's good,
quick and affordable," notes Marcy.
Sandella's is a franchised chain of
wrap sandwiches out of New York,
and the Northville location is the
first in the area. The Schulmans,
thrilled with the reception they have
received from those enjoying the
wraps and pizzas, assure that it will
not be the only area spot.
Tired of fast-food burgers?
Sandella's specializes in wrap sand-
wiches made out of a unique flat-
bread created just for Sandella's, that
is a cross between lavash and pita
bread, with a greater elasticity that
allows for easy rolling, and is com-
pletely fat-free. For lunch and din-
ner, there are a variety of hot and
cold wrap sandwiches, such as a
chicken Caesar wrap, a tuna dill
wrap, a Thai chicken wrap, and a
local favorite, Chicken Verona, which
layers chicken, red peppers, tomatoes,
mozzarella and pesto mayonnaise
into a wrap. Generously sized sand-
wiches range in price from $2.99 for
a small tuna dill wrap, to $5.99 for
many of the large wraps. Several
