Eilu v'Eilu, the Michigan
Conservative movement's year-round
educational resource for adults, is con-
cluding the Lane & Learning adult
study_group with a special siyum
(completion of a unity of study) 10
a.m. Monday, June 5, at Borders
Books & Music, 30995 Orchard Lake
Road, Farmington Hills. There is no
charge. Rabbi Aaron Bergman will
deliver a talk in honor of the occasion.
Students will have an opportunity
to express appreciation to the rabbi
and to Borders staff for hosting the
series. Rabbi Bergman is stepping
down as one of the founding rabbis of
the series to become director of Judaic
studies for the new Jewish Academy
of Metropolitan Detroit.

The outdoor pool at the Jewish
Community Center in West
Bloomfield will have its Memorial
Day Fun Day starting at noon
Monday, May 29.
The day will feature games,
prizes, a DJ, clowns and a moon-
walk. Eastern Mountain Sports will
give a kayak demonstration. Food
will be available for purchase at the
snack bar.
The event is open to JCC members
and their guests. Members must have
a current pool sticker or summer
swim card to gain access to the pool.

Mature Driver
Course Opens

The Jewish Life and Learning
Department of the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park, in
collaboration with AARP, will present
the 55 Alive/Mature Driving Program
12:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday, June 6-7, at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building.
This course is designed to help
improve the driving skills of older
adults; however, no actual driving is
involved.
There are two sessions and stu-
dents must attend both to receive a
certificate. There is a $10 fee. Make a
check out to AARP; reservations can
be made at the JPM reception desk.
