Harry Golobow.
Jeremy is a 4.0 honor roll student at
Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield, where he plays trumpet for
both eighth-grade symphony and jazz
bands. Jeremy has been honored with a
nomination by Abbott Middle School
for the Great Lakes Scholar Award as
well as the West Bloomfield Youth
Assistance Youth Recognition 2000.
Jeremy's most rewarding mitzvah pro-
ject is tutoring autistic children in the
Bridger Program at Abbott Middle
School. He also volunteered at the
Temple Israel Labor Day picnic and
contributed to the planting of a forest in
Israel in the loving honor of family and
friends. Jeremy enjoys sports, reading,
music, science, computers, Camp
Tanuga and the company of good
friends.

Lindsay Ann Foon, daughter of Dr. and
Mrs. Kenneth B. Foon and sister of
Jordan, will celebrate her bat mitzvah on
Saturday; May 20,
through Jewish Parents
Institute at the Jewish
Community Center in
West Bloomfield.
Lindsay is also the
great-granddaughter of
Ellen Horowitz and
Irene Bram and the
late Sol Horowitz and Aaron Bram. The
proud grandparents are Dr. and Mrs.
Herman Foon of Bloomfield Hills and
Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Bram of
Northbrook, Ill.
Lindsay's mitzvah project was helping
the elderly with everyday needs at a
West Bloomfield nursing home. She is a
seventh-grade student at Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Her inter-
ests include dancing and ice skating. She
hopes to become a journalist.

Lauren Brooke Gooel will celebrate her
bat mitzvah on Saturday, May 20, at
Temple Israel. She is the daughter of
Lisa and Bruce Gooel and sister of
Stephanie, Jenna and
Michelle. Excited
grandparents are Elaine
and Myron Kaufman
and Jo and Edward
Simon. Proud great-
grandparents are Alma
and Bert Good. She is
also the granddaughter
of the late Richard
Gooel.
Attending Abbott Middle School in
West Bloomfield where she is an honor
student, Lauren enjoys dancing, skiing,
drama and attending Camp Tamakwa.
